The monastery is located on the hilltop near the India River and shares a distance of 18km from the main city of Leh on Srinagar road. An 11th-century monastery, Spituk Gompa is known for its giant Kali statue that is revealed at the annual festival of Gustor. The monastery now comes under the Tsongkhapa order of Tibetan Buddism and is home to 100 monks. This sacred monastery is considered a must-visit monastery for Buddha devotees and history buffs. Tourists explore this place not only for the monastery but also to cherish the commanding view of the Indus River.

Khardulg La Pass has been widely, but incorrectly, believed to be the highest vehicle-accessible pass in the world and it's especially loved by the people who are passionate to ride bikes. Situated in the Ladakh range, a beautiful place filled with snowcapped mountains in every direction your eyes go. Depending on the condition, Leh to Khardungla Pass is a 60 to 90 minutes drive. You need to have an Inner Line Permit to visit Khardung La Pass. The permit will be checked on either side of the pass at North Pullu and South Pullu. Khardung La Pass is a getaway to Nubra Valley and Siachen Glacier, the highest battlefield in the world.
